My Father along with his brother Ahad yar made a team of artist and weaver in Najibabad known as karigar or rafugar he taught them the art of making shawls and designs on pashmina. Now a days most of muslim families are making the shawls. But we can say proudly we Taught Them. Most of our relatives are into same business that make us family Business.
6th Genetation into This Business
Our forefather use to trade with Mughal Kings, Nawabs and other king of Indian provinces. My Great Grand Father was an expert artist of antique Jamawar and Kani shawls, he knows the persian arts of crafting and weaving shawls.
Emergence of Modern Shawls :
Now a days Antique shawls are very expensive. So instead of antique Jamawar shawls, We have started making modern version of antique shawls with latest Kalamkari and Embroidery Work. Very Few Families are making these shawls. These shawls are not much expensive as antique shawls, that’s why it is becoming popular among youngsters and celebraties.
